Sheila Ballen

Sheila Ballen has over two decades of experience working in high-profile and senior-level communication and government relations roles for non-profit organizations, city and state government entities and political campaigns. 

Sheila focuses on strategic and crisis communications, media relations, government affairs and community engagement. She uses her extensive experience and well-established network to benefit her clients by facilitating collaboration among the media, potential partners, elected officials and government entities to enhance each client’s organizational mission. 

Her past professional experience includes serving as the director of communications for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Mastery Charter Schools, Good Schools Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia Department of Commerce. Her political experience includes running for Pennsylvania’s 175th State Representative District, leading the National Democratic Institute office in Kazakhstan, serving as campaign director and council aide for Philadelphia City Councilwoman Happy Fernandez and as statewide field director for Allyson Schwartz’s campaign for U.S. Senate.
